In addition to the 100% FDA compliant polypropylene sediment filtration this cartridge provides significant activated carbon capable of chlorine and chemical filtration.

Purificare Lead + Carbon cartridge with cyst and lead reduction capability is positioned 2nd in series.
The 1 micron carbon block construction is capable of the filtration of cysts, chlorine and chemicals.
